Oasis Live '25 Reunion Tour

Events · 6 min · October 14, 2026

Oasis had not played a show since 2009. That changed when the band announced its return in 2024. The Oasis Live '25 reunion tour brought Liam and Noel Gallagher back on stage together and turned into one of the biggest concert events of 2025.

Martin Sumichrast and his family make time for live music and shared experiences, and the Oasis reunion was one of them. Here is a look at how the tour came together, where it went and why it mattered to so many fans.

Why the Oasis Reunion Mattered

Oasis broke up in August 2009, in the middle of the Dig Out Your Soul Tour. The split came between a V Festival appearance and a scheduled show at Rock en Seine in Paris on August 28, 2009, when the Gallagher brothers parted ways on bitter terms.

Live '25 was the band's first set of live appearances since that split. After more than 15 years apart, the return of both Gallagher brothers to the same stage is what made the tour feel like an event rather than just another stadium run.

The Oasis Live '25 Announcement

A teaser aired on August 25, 2024. Two days later, on August 27, the band confirmed the reunion. The timing was deliberate. The announcement came two days before the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe, the band's 1994 debut album.

The first announcement covered 17 dates in five cities across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Demand was enormous. Three more dates were added on August 29, and further shows followed. The news also sent six Oasis releases back into the UK charts.

The UK and Ireland general sale opened on August 31, 2024. It drew heavy criticism over long online queues, resale fees and Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing, under which some prices reportedly rose from £148 to £355 as demand surged. The backlash led to an investigation by a UK regulator.

Oasis Live '25 Tour Dates and Legs

The tour opened on July 4, 2025, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. It closed on November 23, 2025, at the MorumBIS stadium in São Paulo, Brazil. In total it ran 41 shows in 14 countries.

The tour moved through five regions:

  • United Kingdom and Ireland. Stadium and park shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin, starting in July 2025.
  • North America. Stadium dates in Canada, the United States and Mexico in late August and September 2025.
  • Asia. Shows at Goyang Stadium near Seoul and at the Tokyo Dome.
  • Australia. Marvel Stadium in Melbourne and Accor Stadium in Sydney.
  • South America. Buenos Aires, Santiago and the São Paulo finale.

The lineup paired Liam Gallagher on lead vocals and Noel Gallagher on guitar and vocals with Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and drummer Joey Waronker. Arthurs missed the Asia and Australia shows, with Mike Moore filling in on guitar. Support acts across the tour included Cast, Richard Ashcroft and Cage the Elephant.

The UK and Ireland Shows

The home leg carried the most weight. Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991, and Heaton Park in the band's home city was one of two venues, along with Wembley Stadium in London, that received five dates in the first announcement. Heaton Park drew about 370,000 people. Wembley drew about 405,000 across its summer dates, plus about 162,000 more when the band returned there on September 13 and 27. Murrayfield in Edinburgh, Croke Park in Dublin and the Principality Stadium in Cardiff each drew between 140,000 and 210,000.

The opening night in Cardiff set the template. The band played 23 songs, opening with "Hello" and closing the encore with "Champagne Supernova."

Oasis Live '25 North American Stops

Live Nation and SJM announced the North American leg on September 30, 2024. It was the band's first North American run in 16 years. The original plan was five stadium shows. Within days, a second night was added in four of the five cities, bringing the total to nine.

The final North American schedule:

  • Toronto, Rogers Stadium: August 24 and 25, 2025
  • Chicago, Soldier Field: August 28, 2025
  • East Rutherford, New Jersey, MetLife Stadium: August 31 and September 1, 2025
  • Los Angeles (Pasadena), Rose Bowl: September 6 and 7, 2025
  • Mexico City, Estadio GNP Seguros: September 12 and 13, 2025

Chicago was the only single-night stop. Cage the Elephant opened every North American date.

After the frustration around the UK sale, the band chose not to use dynamic pricing for the North American tickets. The general on-sale began on October 4, 2024.

Oasis Live '25 by the Numbers

The scale of the tour matched the anticipation. It drew roughly 2.89 million people and earned about $525.3 million at the box office. That made it the second-highest-grossing and third-most-attended tour of 2025.

Some of the biggest crowds came in North America. The two nights at the Rose Bowl drew about 180,000 people, the MetLife shows about 120,000, and Mexico City about 130,000. Toronto's pair of shows drew about 100,000, and Chicago's single night about 52,000.

Because the band had not toured since 2009, the shows offered longtime fans their first chance in more than 15 years to hear the songs played by Oasis itself, and gave younger fans their first chance ever. That reach across generations helped make the tour a natural shared outing for families.
